OXIO has been granted approval by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to operate its cloud-native, multi-carrier wholesale network and Telecom-as-a-Service (TaaS) solution in the United States.
This key regulatory milestone sets a precedent in telecommunications, as OXIO’s cloud-native, multi-carrier wholesale network and TaaS solution becomes the first to be approved by the communications regulator, enabling the company to accelerate its ability to provide next-generation mobile services to businesses who want to become MVNOs or embed connectivity into existing digital products. OXIO is also approved by the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT), Mexico’s equivalent to the FCC, and this additional regulatory acceptance gives the company the ability to provide local connectivity across both regions as a fully operational cross-border, wholesale network.
OXIO’s mission is to build the global network of the future – an intelligent, secure and reliable platform with the flexibility required to bring scalable connectivity experiences and business models to a market that’s currently limited by the industry’s legacy constraints. The FCC’s approval represents a major advancement for OXIO, bringing the business one step closer to fully realizing this mission.
Continuing its expansion across the U.S., OXIO is providing programmable, borderless and data-driven mobile services to businesses and brands through its turnkey TaaS platform. By bringing connectivity and business intelligence to the cloud, OXIO is delivering new enterprise use cases, revenue streams and actionable first-party customer data to businesses as the company reimagines how telecom is distributed and monetized.
“Receiving our FCC license – the first-of-its-kind for a cloud-native, multi-carrier wholesale network and TaaS provider– is a major milestone for OXIO as we continue on our mission to build the global network of the future,” said Nicolas Girard, founder and CEO at OXIO. “We believe the future of connectivity is in the cloud and we’re excited to lead this transformative new era of telecom that empowers any business or brand to build and launch unique and cutting-edge connectivity experiences with complete freedom and flexibility.”
The granted approval from both the FCC and IFT, reinforces the value of OXIO’s cross-border TaaS offering and its ability to revolutionize how telecommunications is accessed, deployed and managed in the modern world.
